So proud of my family. Wish the boys had come along, but they'll find their social justice calling in time. My girls... go out and take on the world. Stand up for what you know is right - love for all.
Thank you for this post...I didn't March but I wish I had and if there is another pink hats March I'm getting my hat knitted and I'll be there with my sister. She is 80 and I am 70 and we believe in all these causes. God or Buda or whomever you worship bless you all.
ReplyDeleteHi Michele: I'm the fellow freelance writer in Tennessee who commented this morning. After reading your comment about having two college students, one of whom marched in Savannah, I'm guessing Becca is a student at SCAD? My youngest daughter just graduated from SCAD last year. Small world. By the way, your piece has gotten a hundred-plus reads and tons of very positive comments on my Facebook page. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, she's a freshman there.
DeleteMy daughter's now trying to make a go of it in New York City. Best of luck to Becca. Erin had a great time in Savannah, and though she was ready to move on, she sometimes seems a bit nostalgic and recently noted that "adulting is hard." :)
DeleteAduting IS hard! Did Erin do any of the quarters elsewhere? Becca is looking at Hong Kong.
