Oh no!  Not wild chicken!

The beach and the ability to breathe.  There's nothing like getting out of Manila proper and spending the afternoon in a quiet bay letting the kids exhaust themselves in water and on land.  The sand was littered with seaweed, tiny crabs and shells.  But all you need to do to make kids happy is let them be at the beach.

Of course, there are always kids like Jonathon who feel invincible and walk headlong into the water.  Nicholas IS invincible, as his floaty spiderman swimsuit proves.

Strike a pose.  Love the goggles, kid.

One of those rare moments when no one had to be 2 inches away protecting him from himself.

Katherine's 8 year photo.  One of the things I like about the photo is all the hair in her face.  It's true to life.

The Kilama boys building a sandwall.  Katherine is carrying a bag and trying to catch some fish.

A break for volleyball.  Jonathon wouldn't keep his own swimsuit on once it was clogged with sand, so eventually Tina took one of her boys suits and strapped it to him.

Sunset on the way home.

A guest of the beach camp.  Katherine caught the pipefish and we learned that it was alive.
I hope it survived all the petting it received during it's temporary incarceration in the dump truck.
